Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal healing and results.

Before Your Laser Treatment
Proper preparation is essential for safe and effective laser treatment:
4 Weeks Before Treatment:
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds.
• Discontinue self-tanning products and spray tans.
• Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatory creams on treatment areas (shaving is permitted).
• Avoid laser hair removal or electrolysis in the treatment area.
2 Weeks Before Treatment:
• Stop using topical retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, retinol) on treatment areas.
• Discontinue products containing glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or other exfoliants.
• If you have a history of cold sores and are receiving treatment near the mouth, notify your provider (antiviral prophylaxis may be prescribed).
1 Week Before Treatment:
• Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements if treatment may cause bruising.
• Do not schedule facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion.
Day of Treatment:
• Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, perfumes, and deodorant (if treating underarms).
• Shave the treatment area if instructed (for hair removal).
• Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
Important: Notify your provider if you are taking photosensitizing medications (antibiotics, acne medications, etc.) or have recently used Accutane.
General Care Guidelines
Do's
- Keep the treated area clean and dry
- Follow medication instructions exactly as prescribed
- Attend all scheduled follow-up appointments
- Contact us immediately if you notice unusual symptoms
Don'ts
- Pick at or scratch the treated area
- Expose treated area to direct sunlight without protection
- Use harsh skincare products or exfoliants
- Skip or delay your follow-up appointments
